Arab Fashion Week for READY COUTURE,  Pre-Fall/Winter 2018/19, in Dubai, from 21-25 November 2017.

The deadline for submitting your application is on the 30 of July 2017.

THEME: Ready Couture

CATWALK & PRESENTATION

CATWALK
The catwalk schedule is suitable for designers wishing to show the collection with a minimum of 20 and maximum 25 outfits, never displayed previously at other fashion shows.

PRESENTATION
Designers are choosing to show in a Tableau Vivant style presentation or through a static installation. Designers wishing to show in this way are more relevant to the presentation schedule. The presentation organized by the brand should run for a minimum of 2 hours and maximum for 6 hours. The presentation will be included on the official calendar of the Arab Fashion Council, and it will have an overlap of time with the scheduled fashion shows.
Timetable from6pm until 11pm.

SHOWROOMS

Brands that decide to personalize their own space should submit to the Arab Fashion Council the design floorpan and 3D views within the 15th of April 2017. If the Brand can’t provide the technical design drawings we will be able to request our suppliers to contact the Brand and submit on their behalf the technical draws. The design is subject to an approval according to the guidelines and policy of the Council. Above are images of the approved personalized design.

PHASES

PHASE ONE – APPLICATION PROCESS

PHASE TWO – COMMITTEE JUDGEMENT

Once we receive the application, our jury will process the candidature and notify the designer if he/she has been shortlisted.
During this phase the designers might be asked to support their application with additional information and references, as well send few samples to the Arab Fashion Council’s office.

FINAL PHASE – APPROVAL

Once the applicant has passed the phase two it means that he/she is qualified to be on the Calendar of the Arab Fashion Week either for Presentation or Catwalk.

The applicant in this phase will be asked to send sketches of the Exclusive pieces and the jury might organize a control visit to the Maison of the applicant.

After receiving all the required information, the applicant will be notified about the results and admission for a presentation or catwalk.

In this phase, the Arab Fashion Council will work with the designer on the package, calendar, locations, and guidelines.

The Arab Fashion Council will send the designer an agreement to be signed and sent back by post with the receipt of payment the participation fees of the selected package. Upon request, the designer has the right to ask to divide the payment into 2 installments. All the amount should be paid completely by 30 March 2017. 

BUDGET – UNDERSTANDING THE COSTS

Organizing a fashion show is an expensive procedure. The Arab Fashion Council works its best to decrease the prices ; this season the Council is sponsoring 70% of the costs. The minimum budget required starts from 7000 $ for showroom/exhibition and 20,000 $ up to 20,000 $ for Catwalk (Original price 50,000 $).

By applying to participate in the Arab Fashion Week, you acknowledge that you have read all the terms and conditions and that you are aware of the costs for such scale of an event.
