“Confident simplicity, subverted classics and a hint of kink.”
ANTIPODIUM Creative Director Geoffrey J. Finch
Igniting curiosity and the urge to look twice, ANTIPODIUM offers the modern woman a new chemistry; distilling East London’s wit, whilst maintaining a global outlook. A focus on innovative fabrication, dynamic print collaborations and canny colour combinations concurrently provides collections as smart, basic or uninhibited as you dare.
The brainchild of creative Australian duo Ashe Peacock and Geoffrey J. Finch, ANTIPODIUM was born in 2006 as a capsule collection to compliment Peacock’s progressive buy at the namesake Soho store. Fast-forward seven years (and with Creative Director Geoffrey J. Finch at the helm), the label is a key player in the East London renaissance. Producing four collections a year from their Dalston studio, presenting on-schedule at London Fashion Week since 2010, and making a notable brand statement with club nights and an emphasis on social media.
With the pragmatism to be expected of a Queensland farmer’s son, Finch’s laid back Australian mood and acute humour marries with E8 savvy. This subcultural London sensibility is key to the label’s diversity, which translates into the versatility of the clothes. Intelligent but lacking in pretension, ANTIPODIUM is competitively priced. Finch’s recent appointment as Creative Design Consultant at TOPSHOP further informs the integrity of design, and Finch’s go-to status as your capricious friend with the canniest wardrobe solutions.
With personal style at the forefront, the label’s growing ready-to-wear collection includes a mega mix of statement cocktail dresses, trophy jackets, knits, and of course the effortless jersey separates. The elegant “dress-up-dress-down” 24-7 silk and shirt dresses are the benchmark of the polished and playful approach. In ANTIPODIUM opposites meet, creating an eclectic mix of strong versus feminine elements. Art and pop culture riffs are central, with notable seasonal print collaborations with transatlantic art duo Craig & Karl, architect Pernilla Ohrstedt, and British Vogue’s Creative Director Jaime Perlman. With a special interest in provenance, ANTIPODIUM launched a collaboration with Aboriginal artists from remote Western Australia to great success. Artist Russell Maurice is the latest talent to join the ANTIPODIUM coterie.
With no formal training, Finch’s directive is the consumer. ANTIPODIUM’s hook on the zeitgeist has secured loyal followers and tastemakers globally. A stellar ensemble of fresh new faces alongside era-defining stars.
ANTIPODIUM spells an everyday attitude, becoming the byline for subverted classics as well as modern basics. A multi-platform brand guaranteed to catapult you into now.
