Banu Celikmen has 17 years of buying experience in luxury retail.

Born in 1981, Istanbul Turkey. She earned her Bachelor’s degree at Clark University USA, doubled majored in Business Management and Economics. During her undergraduate years she worked as a finance intern at Meryl Lynch Investment Bank and Istanbul stock exchange.

After graduation she started her career in jewelry industry in Istanbul. She then stepped into women ready to wear as a product manager in 2005. She worked as a Product manager at Vakko and Burberry Istanbul respectively.

She joined Harvey Nichols Istanbul in 2013 and since then she has been the head of buying of Harvey Nichols Istanbul and Galeries Lafayette Istanbul. During these years she has worked with more than 500 international brands focusing on womenswear, women accessories and kids divisions. She has also started working with Harvey Nichols Doha since 2020 summer as the Buying Manager.
