Arab Designers to Now Produce Protective Equipment for UAE Healthcare Workers

The Arab Fashion Council (AFC) has joined forces with Dubai Health Authority to launch #AThread4Cause, a new initiative as part of which AFC members of designers, brands and companies will support the UAE healthcare network in terms of shortage in PPE (Personal Protection Equipment).This initiative is set to bring together the participation of the Arab fashion community in aiding UAE’s front-line heroes of the pandemic, by producing important products such as surgical masks, isolation gowns, and hoodies as well as locally made sanitizers. AFC will play its role in this initiative by carefully selecting its members and volunteers as per their potential capacity in producing the PPE, as well as training them on the process outlined in compliance with the specifications and standards approved by the DHA.Also Read: Paying Tribute to the Front Line Heroes in the Battle Against Covid-19 “We are in this together, and we will be out of it together,” said Jacob Abrian, Founder and CEO of the Arab Fashion Council.  “#AThread4Cause is a very inspiring and heartwarming initiative that demonstrates how the fashion industry goes beyond showcasing a beautiful collection and extends its talent power in supporting the community in times of need.
