MICHAEL CINCO - COUTURE SS24

Michael Cinco’s vibrant collection was an ode to the rich tapestry of Spanish culture. The looks exuded the passionate spirit of flamenco dancers and the timeless elegance of matadors. With a vivid colour palette and sophisticated embellishments, this fusion of influences encapsulated the essence of Spanish heritage and the enduring allure of Mediterranean architecture. The refinement of capes, embroidered fabrics, oversized epaulettes adorned with sparkling stones, and see-through intricately pleated fabrics told a shared story. Short fiery red and black blazers made bold statements with their intricate details, while corsets, skirts, and short playsuits harmonized seamlessly with the collection’s full spectrum. These pieces not only reflected the symmetry and firm architectural lines but also maintained the spirit and elegance that we witnessed throughout the show.

MICHAEL CINCO - COUTURE AW23/24

Michael Cinco’s collection inspired by the sophisticated architecture of the Duomo di Milano gave us timeless jackets with delicate designs and unique embroidery that reflected the gothic regalia. Black and grey hues moonlit perfectly on the catwalk with the Swarovski crystals that added glam and light to this timeless couture and pret-a-porter designs. The blue color made an appearance through patterns, crystals mounted perfectly on capes and long jackets along with evening gowns and suits. This collection brought both darkness and light together to deliver refined pieces of design.

MICHAEL CINCO - COUTURE AW22/23

Rising like the mythical phoenix in the desert, Dubai-based couturier Michael Cinco unleashed a fall winter 2023 couture collection like no other. The Filipino designer who makes red-carpet dreams come true with every artisanal stitch and swathe of satin, once again proved that Dubai is a couture epicenter. Inspired by the ancient history and culture of Egypt, Cinco built looks that were deeply-rooted in the civilization’s architecture, aesthetic detail and ancient scriptures. Couture looks for both men and women were envisaged as architectural masterpieces, lavish in elements from the past. The show dropped the mic on the fourth day with a modern Cleopatra and Mark Antony in full Egyptian regalia made by artisan hands.

With a lavish display ruled by a sunset color gradient – ranging from orange yellow to black – the Michael Cinco man rises like the phoenix in the desert. Capes and kandoras were a salute to the local UAE culture, while an array of smart, sporty sets speak to a wider clientele.
