ARAB FASHION WEEK (AFW)

The official Fashion Week in Dubai & the Arab world.

Arab Fashion Week MEN’S SS23:

28-30 June 2022/ Spring Summer 2023

The application deadline is 10th of May 2022.

 

Arab Fashion Week WOMEN’S SS23:

21-24 October 2022/ Spring Summer 2023.

The application deadline is 1 July 2022.

CATWALK

The fashion show will take place at the Arab Fashion Week official venue in Dubai, and will be also broadcasted live online. The designers should showcase not less than 20 outfits. The showcased collection should never be displayed previously at other events. 

Application Rules

Requirements:

  • Having Women’s Ready-to-Wear or Couture collection or Men’s Wear Ready-Couture collection.
  • Your collection is new and not seen before at other events
  • Be established in the fashion industry for more than 3 years
  • If designers wish to sell their collection on See-Now: Buy-Now basis they should have the collection in stock or be able to produce the order in less than 2 weeks.
  • If your business is established for less than a minimum of 3 years, you can contact the Arab Fashion Council for support at designers@arabfashioncouncil.com

PHASE I - APPLICATION Process

Please note that incomplete application will not be taken into consideration so make sure to fill all the fields. The application might take from 10-15 minutes.

PHASE II - COMMITTEE JUDGEMENT

Once we receive the application, our jury will process the candidature and notify the designer if he/she has been shortlisted.
During this phase, the designers might be asked to support their application with additional information and references, as well send a few samples to the Arab Fashion Council’s office.

FINAL III – APPROVAL

Once the applicant has passed phase two it means the brand is qualified to be on the Calendar of the Arab Fashion Week.

The applicant in this phase will be asked to send sketches of the Exclusive pieces and the jury might organize a control visit to the Atelier of the applicant.

After receiving all the required information, the applicant will be notified of the results and admission to showcase their collection during the Arab Fashion Week. 

In this phase, the Arab Fashion Council will work with the designer on the package, calendar, locations, and guidelines.

The designer will then receive an agreement to be signed and sent back by email with the payment receipt.

Upon request, the designer has the right to ask to divide the payment into 2 installments.

BUDGET – UNDERSTANDING THE COSTS

Please note that organizing and producing a fashion show is an expensive operation and requires the participant to be able to fund their participation with a minimum fee starting from 10,000 US Dollars for calendar listing and 20,000$ for a physical show.

By applying to participate in the Arab Fashion Week, you acknowledge that you have read all the terms and conditions and that you are aware of the cost, terms, and conditions.
