ARAB FASHION WEEK (AFW)

The world’s only destination for the Ready-Couture & See-Now; Buy-Now

Next edition: Collections of FW20/21

Dates: 2-7 June 2020;

The application deadline is 30th May 2020

Designers having a collection of FW20/21 will be able to sell their collection on our affiliated e-commerce platforms.

Fall Winter 20/21

CATWALK

The fashion show will take place at the Arab Fashion Week official venue in Dubai, and will go live on during the schedule from 2-7 June 2020. The Shows will be broadcasted live in partnership with Tiktok to over 300 million audience. The designers should showcase not less than 20 outfits. The showcased collection should never be displayed previously at other events. 

Application Rules

Requirements:

  • Having Women’s Ready-to-Wear or Ready-Couture, Men’s Wear Ready-Couture collection or Kidswear Collection.
  • Your collection is new and not seen before at other events
  • Be established in the fashion industry for more than 3 years
  • If designers wish to sell their collection on See-Now: Buy-Now basis they should have the collection in stock or being able to produce the order in less than 2 weeks.
  • If your business is established since less than the minimum of 3 years, you can contact the Arab Fashion Council for support on designers@arabfashioncouncil.com

PHASE I - APPLICATION Process

Please note that incomplete application will not be taken into consideration so make sure to fill all the fields. The application might take from 10-15 minutes.

PHASE II - COMMITTEE JUDGEMENT

Once we receive the application, our jury will process the candidature and notify the designer if he/she has been shortlisted.
During this phase, the designers might be asked to support their application with additional information and references, as well send a few samples to the Arab Fashion Council’s office.

FINAL III – APPROVAL

Once the applicant has passed phase two it means the brand is qualified to be on the Calendar of the Arab Fashion Week.

The applicant in this phase will be asked to send sketches of the Exclusive pieces and the jury might organise a control visit to the Atelier of the applicant.

After receiving all the required information, the applicant will be notified of the results and admission to showcase their collection during the Arab Fashion Week. 

In this phase, the Arab Fashion Council will work with the designer on the package, calendar, locations, and guidelines.

The designer will then receive an agreement to be signed and sent back by email with the payment receipt.

Upon request, the designer has the right to ask to divide the payment into 2 instalments. All the amounts should be paid completely by 15 May 2020. 

BUDGET – UNDERSTANDING THE COSTS

Please note that organising and producing a fashion show is an expensive operation and requires the participant to be able to fund their participantion.

By applying to participate in the Arab Fashion Week, you acknowledge that you have read all the terms and conditions and that you are aware of the cost, terms and conditions.
